Fashion
Edo ghosts printed on silk, a Chinese collar buttoned to the throat. Fashion means clothing and accessories from Japan, China, Thailand, Nepal and Europe, made in silk, leather, fur and hand-woven fiber. Chinese Tang jackets with standing mandarin collars and knotted frog closures, scarves in silk and sustainable hand-woven fiber from Thailand, Rex rabbit fur hats and caps, and clutches cut from Japanese obi silk carry traditional cloth and cut into modern dress. Hokusai’s ghosts and demons, Oiwa and Okiku among them, appear printed on silk. A garment with a story in the weave looks equally right on an entry-hall hook or on the street.
