Necklaces
Old beads, like old coins, tend to find a second string.
Contemporary necklaces are made in silver, gold, brass, agate, glass and trade beads. Chains of sterling links, hammered silver collars, single pendants on cord and long strands of mixed beads draw on the jewelry of India, Nepal, Tibet, Ethiopia, the Sahara and the American Southwest.
Worn long over a knit, or hung on a hook between wearings, a strong necklace is as much sculpture as dress.
The beads are older than the owner. Wear them anyway.
In the collection now: Berber Strand of Beads, Morocco and Berber Strand of Beads, Morocco.
