Sao Kneeling Female Figure

Lake Chad. The water comes and goes, and the people who live around it have been casting metal for a very long time.

Lost-wax is the method. A wax figure, a clay skin, a pour, a break. What comes out is never repeated. This one kneels, hands on her thighs, bracelets at the wrists, rings stacked at the neck. Her round face has wide eyes and a small smile. Bronze, five inches tall, dark and rough, with patches of bright green verdigris across the torso and legs.

Small, but not slight. It holds a shelf like a landlord.
