This is the Ghanaian movie poster, born of the late 1980s, when entrepreneurs carried a TV, a VCR and a portable gas generator from village to village and called it mobile cinema. To fill the seats, the posters had to shout. They almost always present a lurid, colorful patchwork of images, sometimes grotesque, often melodramatic, downright ludicrous at times.
This one is canvas, 20th century, nearly four feet by almost five.
Do not hang it in a dull room. It will take offense.
