Yoruba Male Ibeji or 'Twins' Figure

Brass, bronze, and a fair few beads. This ibeji arrives dressed.

A Yoruba male figure from Nigeria, twentieth century, wood with bronze. Strings of red, white, blue and green beads cross the chest and hang down both sides. Beside his feet, two round bronze discs lean out like small cymbals. The body is carved with textured lines across the torso, the face is narrow, and the crest of hair runs up to a point.
