About this piece

Mid-stride. Low to the ground. Everything about the cat says it has already decided.

Leopards and other big cats appear widely in African art, often linked with strength and authority. This iron feline was made in the 20th century and runs four inches nose to tail. The body is long and low on sturdy legs with defined paws, and a sweeping tail curves out behind. The head is alert, with rounded ears, wide eyes and an open mouth showing teeth. The patina is dark and mottled, lighter where hands have handled it.

Small, but all motion. Set it where it can stalk the paperwork.
