Fante Frankaa or Asafo Military Flag

Every Asafo company in Fante country has its flag. Every flag has something to say, and the loudest ones say it with cloth.

Ghana, twentieth century, cotton, just over five feet long. A cream field with appliqued figures in red: a small child in a diaper pointing, a round red disc between them, and a larger man standing with hands on hips. In the corner, a Union Jack. A frilled edge and tie cords at the hoist.
