Belts & Buckles Fashion

The whole kimono depends on a single braided cord. Belts, sashes and buckles in leather, silk, brass and silver draw on dress traditions from Japan to the Himalaya and West Africa. The Japanese obi, the wide brocaded sash tied around a kimono, and the braided obijime cord that holds it in place carry centuries of weaving skill. Buckles in cast brass and hammered silver have the weight and engraved ornament of jewelry. Worn with raw silk or denim, or coiled in a lacquer tray on a dresser, old leather and metal keep their character. The waist, properly addressed.

In the collection now: Indonesian Belt with Dragon Head Buckle and Indonesian Belt Buckle with Skull Motif.
