Beds Bedding

A Chinese daybed at noon, the cushions still warm from the sun. Bedding is the set of textiles that finishes a bed: pillows covered in kilim from Anatolia and Iran, woven cotton, wool and silk from India and China, throws that layer color and texture over a frame of old wood. Hand-woven pattern, vegetable dye and the slight irregularity of a hand loom soften the hard lines of carved beds.

Piled on a Chinese daybed or a modern platform, a few kilim cushions bring warmth to crisp white sheets. Excellent excuses for staying put.

In the collection now: Bugzhoma or Bedding Ornament, Uzbekistan and Moroccan Wool Blanket.
