Mirrors Floor & Standing
A tall glass leaning against a wall, a bedroom doubled. Floor and standing mirrors are the full-length kind that lean or stand free: Indian frames in teak, silver and shell, an American Gothic pier mirror of the 19th century, French mirrors and beveled glass with rounded arched tops. Contemporary floor mirrors such as the Pickfair, Blaire, Clyde and Bishopsgate come in walnut, brass and painted finishes.
Against a wall they add height and light to a bedroom or dressing room, and double the length of a hallway. A small deception, honestly offered.
