Ceiling Hanging Lamps
Marrakech after dark, a lantern throwing lace across the walls. Hanging lamps and pendants come in brass, copper, iron, glass and paper: Moroccan and Turkish lanterns in pierced metal, Indian brass temple lamps suspended on chains, Japanese paper pendants, French enamel shades and old industrial pendants in steel and glass, each hung from a single point. Lowered over a kitchen island, a desk or a bedside, a pendant gathers light where it is used; a group of mismatched lanterns at different heights over a dining table becomes a sculpture of light. Patinated brass and copper darken with age, and pierced metal throws its pattern across the walls. Look up.
In the collection now: Turkish Hanging Lamp, Electrified and Turkish Hanging Lamp, Electrified.
