This lithograph was inspired by the indies film “Fished Out: The Truth Behind Lionfish Addiction” (2013). In an attempt to expose a deadly underground drug addiction in the Caribbean, the documentary follows one user through his progressive downfall of using lionfish spines as an injection drug – containing a poisonous venom a hundred times more potent with synthetic heroin. The film contains interviews with the area’s colorful characters, while aiming to bring awareness to the lionfish addiction epidemic.
