Mirrors Table Top
Morning light, one lamp, a face in the glass. Table top mirrors are small mirrors made for the dressing table: Chinese rosewood vanity mirrors with drawers below for combs and jewelry, and Japanese burl wood stands of the 19th and early 20th centuries, made for the rituals of hair, powder and pins. The drawers often keep their original brass fittings and the glass its soft silvering.
On a dresser, a bathroom counter or a desk, a table mirror is useful first and decorative second, its wood glowing beside a lamp. It has seen worse mornings.
In the collection now: Chinese Table Top Mirror and Chinese Table Top Mirror.
