Strange Invisible
Venice, California, around the turn of the millennium, and a perfumer working with plants alone. Strange Invisible Perfumes was founded by Alexandra Balahoutis around 2000 and uses only botanical essences, many organic or wild-crafted, hand-blended in small batches. Rose, vetiver, oud, citrus, resins and herbs run through its perfumes, which wear close to the skin and shift through the day. The house treats fragrance as a natural material, like wood or stone. On a bathroom shelf beside old brass, carved bone and hand-thrown ceramics, the bottles keep their quiet.
In the collection now: Black Rosette By Strange Invisble, Aquarian Rose By Strange Invisble, and Dimanche By Strange Invisble.
